A bold orange. It’s confident yet approachable. I wanted a primary color that helped the orange hues in my dress shine a little brighter.

A calming beige. While beige isn’t known for its passion, it combined beautifully with a main character like orange and surely deserves some credit for its functional value as a background color.

An earthy brown. It was a choice deeply influenced by our venue, but I also just love brown! It can feel luxurious while also reminding us of the rawest materials on Earth.

Thanks to this photo, I didn’t even have to add green to my palette – and there’s no better green than the color of grass. This photo added vitality to the color palette while also adding some natural texture.

As far as other design choices went, our photography did nearly all of the heavy lifting. There were so many textures, patterns, shadows, and details in our photos – any “over-designing” on my part would’ve suffocated the zine. Sometimes less is more, and that certainly proved itself true – not only for the zine, but also for our wedding day.
